It was easy for us to save money on transportation by using this app. And we had never been to New York before!

Used it in NYC. It showed every detail required to navigate the citys subways. I never felt lost. User friendly. Great job.
Cant set a home address. Did they even test this?
Discovered Apple Maps is lacking transit in Paris, after trying to use a few other apps, I landed on this one. It was a life saver. Used it strictly to get to and from all the points of interest in Paris. Until Apple Maps incorporates Paris, use this!
Great until they removed the offline subway map!!
We used Citymapper on our visit to London. Transit, walking (and Uber or Lyft although we didnt use them.) Directions were spot on and include pointing you to the best entrances and exits from the Underground. Made using the iconic double-decker buses a breeze. I agree with other reviews that there is an it if a learning curve, take a look before you leave home. And yes, you can set a home address, not sure why some couldnt do that.
I live in New York and used to have separate apps for the bus, subway, and commuter train. This one app gives me access to all of that information, including offline system maps, AND has Citibike, Uber, and other modes of transportation built in. I honestly couldnt have dreamed up a more elegant and comprehensive app than Citymapper. Their engineers are excellent and constantly making changes and updates. Im hard to please when it comes to transit, and I love this thing.
this application has been great and easy to use.
This app is priceless. Best way to navigate the City.
I use this in Los Angeles and Orange County CA. So useful! The Apple Watch integration is nice too. Warns you when your stop is coming up without having to take iPhone out. Love this!
This is the best app of its kind that Ive seen on iOS. Accurate directions by foot, car, bus, or other public transport. Hands down beats Apple Maps, Google Maps, MapQuest, and all of the other frequently used apps. Very good and clean UI for a free app. Overall I highly recommend Citymapper for your transportation needs.
Ive never wrote a review before, but I decided to write one for this app because its a really really great app and they put a lot of work into it. I think its only going to get better from here. I definitely recommend this app.
This is an app that really understands whats useful to its users. Instead of making something general-purpose and hard to use, CityMapper have put together something that targets what a busy traveler is trying to do. Watch integration is awesome, tho the sad tendency of the Watch to take 10 seconds to update a Complication after tapping on it can lead to frustration. Buy it if you spend time on transit or walking in one of its target cities!
Yes you can fall in love with an app, if it has became part of your life and you will be lost, literally and figuratively, without it. This is by far the most useful app on my phone, with the best user experience I have ever seen. It has the route-planning power better than Google Map and more accurate traffic informations than local traffic controls. If I were to be stranded on an island with one app, this would be it. It is crucial to my survival on so many levels.
Still nothing. They need to step up and provide service to more locations. 28 cities is... Not enough.
Very accurate and easy to use. Would definitely get lost without it in my life. Keep doing what you do CityMapper.
I previously used EmbarkNYC (now defunct) but CityMapper is a great replacement. My one complaint: no offline routing. What do I mean by this? I cant map a route out from current station to another subway station. Not an issue *IF* I already have a route programmed in that Im following. However, if its a route I normally take I dont need the route unless theres an issue such as a station being skipped. Now I need to reroute and I guess based off the offline map. Id like a better way to do this as Im still learning the subway lines. Pros (if you actually made it this far): -Offline map -Point to point routing with multiple transit options -Subway car suggestions for easy connections or quick escape to the street
Gets me where I need to go!
The devs need to turn the GPS radio off while in transit or only turn it on when absolutely necessary. I left from my house three hours ago with 100% charge, used this app alone while taking transit across the South Bay Area. My battery is now below half charge. This is on a new iPhone 6S.
I downloaded this app to use for subway routing in Boston. However it does not include subway routing, at least for Boston. After entering the from location as the Alewife Red Line station and the to location as the Boston College Green Line station, this app only returned directions for walking, biking, and Uber. No subway information is returned. Cant recommend this app if you need transit information.
